TheGeomatics, at the intersection of geography and information technology, plays a crucial role in geospatial information management. In order to promote this discipline and strengthen links between academic and professional circles, we decided to create a scholarship program specially dedicated to geomatics students.
This scholarship program aims to support committed students by facilitating their transition to the professional world., while achieving the following objectives :
- Encourage studies in geomatics : Provide financial support to students to help them pursue their studies in this promising field.
- Promote innovation and applied research : Encourage research projects that meet the current needs of the geomatics industry.
- Strengthen communications : Offer students the opportunity to present the methodology and results of their project at the GEO-MTL conference planned for the fall 2026.

2 x Grants for a student project
Intended for students enrolled in a program related to geomatics (geography, environmental sciences, applied geomatics, etc.), this scholarship aims to support the talents of tomorrow. It encourages the development of innovative geospatial solutions, essential to meeting the challenges of climate change, natural resource management or sustainable transportation planning in Quebec. We invite young innovators to put their skills at the service of the protection and responsible development of our territory.

University: 5 500$
In addition to the scholarship, the winning team may be invited to speak as a speaker at an event planned for the fall 2026.
1 x Team Scholarship for Community Engagement
Thanks to a partnership with the Red Cross, and concrete command will be offered to students wishing to put their skills at the service of a major humanitarian cause.
Intended for students who have contributed significantly to the promotion and awareness of geomatics in their community, this scholarship aims to financially support these young talents. It encourages the development of innovative geospatial solutions, essential to meeting resource management challenges, land use planning and other strategic issues. By promoting continued student engagement, this program supports both their academic and professional career, while reinforcing the positive impact of geomatics on society.
5 000$ to the team
